  • Great week 1 at Maffitt Lake!! Natalie Robbins was reserve champ in the Junior hunters with Peron and childrens hunters with Lagonda. Also 2nd in NAL classic. She debuted in her 1st National Derby and made the call back for the handy!
  • Dory Tuohey was Champion in the younger adults on Waltz Away and won the NAL classic!
  • Michelle Klettke rode Aladin to reserve champ in the younger adults.
  • I've Been Spotted had 3 clean rounds in the jumper ring with Nikki and is getting more and more experience.
  • Zoe Hertz debuted in her 1st Derby on Vivace, and got great jogs in the junior hunters.

Natalie Robbins and Peron finished Reserve Circuit Champion in HITS' intermediate equitation (3'3"). Mattie Eckerstrom and Learning to Fly were Reserve Circuit Champion in the Novice equitation division (2'9"). Congratulations girls!

Among other circuit rankings were Maddie Shave and Walter in the modified children's hunter, Cam Pfeiffer and Baby Face in 11 & under equitation, Natalie and Lagonda in children's hunter, and Chrissa Alghini and Romeo in pre-children's hunter.

Other accomplishments include: Zoe Hertz moving into the Junior Hunters with Vivace, Gabrielle Timm competing with I've Been Spotted in the jumper ring as well as her purchase of Got Milk. Maddie Shave moved into the Children's hunter with Walter, Cam Pfeiffer moved into the 2'6" hunters with Baby Face, Natalie Robbins moved into the 3'6" equitation medals with Peron, Mattie Eckerstrom moved into the Children's hunter with Learning to Fly, Dory Tuohey showed Baby Face for the first time to some great ribbons, Chrissa Alghini competing in the 2'6" hunters at her first AA shows, Aladdin took 2nd place in a pre-green hunter class with Nikki, I've Been Spotted moved up to level 2 jumpers with Nikki, Lagonda moved up to the high pre-green with Nikki ... We are very proud of the hard work and dedication that each one of our horses and riders demonstrated over circuit!!

She also went back to the pony ring to school Miss Elizabeth Swan for the children’s pony hunter with owner/rider Hadley Bahr. Mattie showed Learning to Fly in the Modified Child Hunter on Friday to prepare to move up the the Children’s hunter over the weekend. Zoe and Mattie were each very respectable in the (competitive!) children’s hunter division. See them both back for week 5!

  • Natalie and Peron: 2nd THIS Natl children's medal. Reserve champion in intermediate eq.
  • Natalie and Lagonda: 6th children's hunter classic.
  • Chrissa and Romeo: first horse show ever and a blue ribbon in the PostTime Children's hunter under saddle!
  • Maddie and Walter moved up to the children's hunter and had some great rounds together. 3rd place under saddle.
  • Gabrielle and I've Been Spotted returned to the jumper ring for the first time since Sept and both had a blast in the modified children's division.
  • Dory had a super sweet show on Million Dollar Baby with a 2nd, 3rd and 3rd in the Adult Mod Hunter, and  6th in the Bit O Straw Classic.
  • Mattie's first show on Learning to Fly. Showing in the modified children's hunter earned 2nd place over fences. Moved up to the novice children's equitation and took 1st, 4th, and 6th over fences (GSF colors)

Maddie and Walter cleaned up in over three days, including Champion Mod. Child Hunter and 2nd in the Bit O Straw Hunter Classic. Natalie showed Peron in equitation, earning 8th place in the THIS nat'l child. medal, champion int. eq, and res champ mod. eq. She and Lagonda finished 2nd in the Children's Hunter Classic, after Lagonda showed brilliantly in the High Pre-green hunter, including a first place ribbon in steep competition. Further, Cam premiered on her new mount, Million Dollar Baby, and had top scores in the 11& under equitation (2nd, 3rd, 3rd, and 5th), as well as ribbons in the 2'6" HITS hunter, including a 3rd place in the M&S class! Way to go Cam! Looking forward to seeing you back next week!
