Training
Gem Stone Farm prides itself on having customized training programs for you and your horse or you as a rider on a school horse. We place emphasis on holistic health of both horse and rider. A variety of cross-training for your horse includes swimming, free jumping, flat work, massage, chiropractic work, etc. This is not a barn where there are assembly line type lessons. Our school horses are treated the same as our show horses. Our lessons cater to an individual’s needs with an emphasis on a good foundation. The jumping portion of our lessons focus on safety and confidence with quality reigning over quantity.

Individual Rider Lessons
With a huge emphasis on a good foundation, don't be surprised if you find yourself without stirrups and reins on the lunge line for your lesson. Or perhaps you will find your stirrups have been kidnapped for a good month. These are all methods for building a better rider with a strong core, solid seat, and proper leg position while on the flat or over jumps. Quality is more important than quantity.
Group Lessons
Group lessons consist of 2+ riders. Nikki leads your group with the same goals in mind as a private lesson. But with a larger group, riders have the benefit of watching their peers as they ride. Not only are they learning from Nikki’s guidance, but also from watching each other. Different topics are covered each week from learning how to calculate strides between fences to knowing the best way of showing your horses strengths in a show environment.
